Egyptian mobile numbers to change

Codes for country's three operators are to be amended as part of a drive to meet increased demand from Egypt's estimated 76 million mobile users. Egyptian mobile phone numbers will all change on Thursday 6 October , the National Telecom Regulatory Authority has announced. The changes will mean every Egyptian mobile phone number will now be 11 digits in length.

What to know about Cairo?

Cairo, the "city of the thousand minarets" is one of the oldest cities in the world. On the one hand, it is beautiful and modern in many ways, yet full of ancient sites and monuments. On the other hand because it is one of the most populated cities in the world, it is very crowded. Cars and people are everywhere. Noise and pollution levels are very high.
