Exploring Egypt

You are in Egypt so take advantage of all the exciting destinations, old and new. Start by exploring Cairo, and its surrounding areas.

  • Most sites have two rates: the non-resident and the resident rate.
  • There may be a less expensive resident fee available, if you have your resident visa stamp, but not all sites honor it.
  • Even with your resident status, you will be asked to pay the non-resident fee. Get used to it!
  • Many of the sites are closed during mid-day prayers on Fridays (11.30am – 1.30pm).
  • In addition to an entrance fee, many sites also charge for Camcorders and/or cameras.
  • Sites are very crowded on Fridays and holidays.
